Compressed Natural Gas Fueling Station by American Natural Gas LLC Under Development in Kirkwood New York
Saratoga Springs, NY (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- American Natural Gas, LLC (ANG) and its marketing partner are currently developing a heavy duty, fast-fill compressed natural gas (CNG) facility in Kirkwood, New York. Recently, ANG was selected by Try-It Distributing as their partner for their fast-fill public fueling station, continuing to develop a premier network of publicly accessible natural gas fueling stations throughout the Northeast and the surrounding states. The Kirkwood CNG facility, to be constructed, owned operated and maintained by ANG, is a part of the early stage development of 60 ANG natural gas fueling stations by 2016.
On September 16, 2013, ANG obtained the Special Use Permit necessary to construct and operate a CNG fueling station in the Town of Kirkwood and is well underway with fully permitting the facility. Drew West, Founder and CEO of ANG said; “The location of this CNG station is a critical component in helping companies initiate or expand their use of CNG as it is a very short distance from major NY Interstates”. Mr. West went on to say that “This is a prime example of ANG’s dedication to our mission of making natural gas readily available for use in commercial and public vehicles”.
The public access CNG fueling station will be opened 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will be located on the corner of Stratmill Road and Colesville Road in Kirkwood, NY. This location is approximately 0.2-miles of the Northbound and Southbound ramps for Interstate 81 and 86 and within 2.1-miles of the major interchanges for Interstate 81, 86, and New York State Route 17. Colesville Road runs directly into the industrial area of Kirkwood, allowing for easy access to the station.
A high pressure gas line to the property, coupled with significant compression and 120,000 scf of storage will allow large volumes of gas to rapidly flow through the fueling station. In order to quickly fuel vehicles, the station will have three high-flow dispensers and one split-flow dispenser. A variety of payment methods such as Visa, MasterCard, Wright Express and Comdata will be accepted.
The anticipated station launch date is June, 2014. Interested fleets are encouraged to contact ANG to inquire about preferred fuel rates.
