A new dawn for Dilly’s with relocation to larger shop
(PRWEB UK) 26 September 2013 -- The business opened at its existing location in 2006 offering services including wedding bouquets, funeral wreaths and Christmas arrangements. Due to increased demand from its regular and new customers, the team will move to a bigger building in the same street at the end of October.
Owner Jo Dilworth, who has 35 years’ experience in the industry, said: "We’ve been very happy in our current premises, where there has actually been a florist since about 1937! But we decided to move because we needed more work space to fulfill our growing orders. We’re also hoping to start floristry classes once we’re in our new shop."
Jo, who has a second branch in Tiptree, attributes Dilly’s success to her ten-strong team and the excellent customer service they provide. "We all work really hard and pride ourselves on doing the best we can for our customers," she said. "We offer a great service, with fresh flowers arriving every single day from Holland."
She added: "I’ve always loved working with flowers – my favourite changes every day. I took an apprenticeship in floristry when I left school and now I take on apprentices myself so it’s nice that it’s gone full circle."
To celebrate the move to the new premises, Jo and her team will be leaving small bouquets of flowers around town which members of the public are free to take – so keep your eye out!
As well as flowers, Dilly at Abbotts specialises in romantic gifts, champagne and food hampers. For more information, visit http://www.colchesterflowers.co.uk or call 01206 573222.
