Providence, RI (PRWEB) September 30, 2013
Vector Software, the leading provider of dynamic software testing solutions for embedded systems, today announced support for the Freescale® MQX™ Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).
The MQX RTOS from Freescale provides real-time performance within a small, configurable footprint. This RTOS is designed to make it easy to configure and balance code size with performance requirements.
The VectorCAST™ suite of tools automates software testing activities. VectorCAST/RSP is the Run-time Support Package add-on to the VectorCAST toolset which enables testing of real-time applications directly in an embedded target or simulator environment. VectorCAST/RSP works in conjunction with VectorCAST/C++ to provide automated module testing in a real-time embedded environment.
The MQX RTOS platform is certifiable to medical and aerospace standards. Safety-critical applications based on MQX RTOS range from eye surgery and drug injection equipment to aircraft braking and navigation systems.
“The VectorCAST toolset’s wide array of RTOS support is confirmed with the Freescale MQX RTOS integration,” commented Bill McCaffrey, Chief Operating Officer at Vector Software, “and provides a best-in-class test environment for safety-critical applications.”
