Insigniam, a leading international management consulting firm, has released the full results of its 2013 Executive Sentiment Survey. The survey was previously featured in the first issue of its thought-leadership magazine, Insigniam Quarterly.

The survey polled over 200 executive leaders in multiple industries from Global 1000 companies around the world for a 12-36 month view on the challenges they face in business. The heart of the survey delved into the problem of innovation for many executives—while 87% of them understand the importance of innovation to the success or strength of their company, only 15% feel prepared to execute it.

“How can leaders drive innovation in their companies if this disparity between preparation and action exists?” asks Nathan Owen Rosenberg, co-founder of Insigniam. “The constant push-pull of immediate results versus the longer growth of truly transformative innovation makes executives feel constrained and frustrated. This survey highlights the need for leaders need to create a culture of sustainability for innovation and a process that pushes forward through the frustrations and creates real results.”
