Milford, PA (PRWEB) September 26, 2013
Clarion Safety Systems, a leading designer and manufacturer of safety signs and labels, announces its participation in the 2013 National Safety Council (NSC) Congress & Expo to be held September 30 – October 2 in Chicago, IL.
Clarion will participate in the expo by exhibiting at booth #1457, showcasing the power of effective, best practice safety sign systems for workplaces and public areas as well as providing resources on understanding the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) proposed standards update to regulations on safety signs and tags. In addition, Clarion’s safety signs will be featured at the expo in this year’s New Product Showcase – the NSC’s roundup of the latest innovative products and services from 2013 exhibitors – located on the concourse outside of the expo floor.
“We look forward to this opportunity to join other safety leaders and to share up-to-the-minute information related to best practices in visual safety communication,” says Clarion president, Deb Patterson. “Of particular importance is OSHA’s 2013 workplace safety sign regulation change. This ruling, expected to go into effect shortly, is an opportunity for organizations to rethink and reevaluate their signage. Clarion’s new line of best practice products helps organizations to create the new benchmark for visual safety communication in their industries.”
In July 2013, Clarion launched its safety sign product line to more effectively reduce risk and protect people amid today’s heightened regulatory and liability environment. The product line includes five main categories of signage: Safety Equipment Location Signs; Fire Equipment Location Signs; Security/Company Policy Signs; Egress Pathmarking Signs and Markings; and Accident Prevention Signs, Labels and Tags.
Products are intelligently configured, leveraging international symbols and precise formatting, so critical safety messages are communicated more effectively to employees, subcontractors, and visitors, regardless of language capability. Clarion products use the most up-to-date communication technology available to help prevent accidents, including compliance with the latest ANSI and ISO safety standards, as well as OSHA’s upcoming 2013 update to its safety sign regulations.
This update – where OSHA is changing its regulations on safety signs to incorporate the current ANSI Z535 (2011) safety sign and tag standards – is scheduled to go into effect in September 2013, and will impact safety at facilities and other worksites.
To help safety professionals to learn more about OSHA’s standards update on signage and how to use the latest ANSI warnings technology to improve workplace safety, Clarion has a page available in its online “Learning Center” with resources on the OSHA change, as well as a short, educational video “ANSI Standards in Safety Signs and Labels” available through the company’s online video library and YouTube channel.
Founded in 1913 and chartered by Congress, the National Safety Council, nsc.org, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to save lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the road through leadership, research, education and advocacy. NSC advances this mission by partnering with businesses, government agencies, elected officials and the public in areas where we can make the most impact – distracted driving, teen driving, workplace safety, prescription drug overdoses and Safe Communities.
