Law Firm Host Employment Webinar for Charities
(PRWEB UK) 26 September 2013 -- This Thursday (26th September) law firm Hillyer McKeown is to present its first webinar for the voluntary sector, entitled ‘Managing Change in the Voluntary Sector’.
The webinar will focus on how the voluntary sector can manage the on-going public funding cuts taking place in the UK and reduce the need to make redundancies.
The event is aimed at trustees, management committee members and senior staff of charities and voluntary organisations who are unsure about how they would manage the effect of these changes on their employees.
Hillyer McKeown’s Head of Employment Law Justine Watkinson and Solicitor Rachel Reid will present the webinar, providing attendees with practical advice and tips so that if the unthinkable does happen, voluntary organisations can approach redundancy in a fair and legally compliant manner…avoiding pitfalls and bear traps along the way!
Justine Watkinson, Head of Employment Law, said “In times such as these it is important that senior staff of voluntary organisations know how they can minimise the need to make redundancies in their organisation as well as how to effectively manage the process should they need to.
“This webinar will focus on the practicalities of redundancy and attendees will be fully informed of all the legal requirements in this process.”
