ARA Announces New Senior Vice President of Strategy Development
Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- ARA, Inc. is pleased to welcome Dr. George Ullrich as Senior Vice President, Strategy Development.
As Senior Vice President, Strategy Development, Dr. Ullrich will be responsible for developing ARA strategy through identification of emerging trends and growth areas to guide and focus ARA’s IR&D, strategic hire, and business development investments. Dr. Ullrich will have a leading role in executing this strategy through development of existing and new customers, capture of new business, analyzing technology futures, supporting IR&D investment decisions, and providing technical oversight and review of major programs.
Having worked in both government and industry, Dr. Ullrich has decades of experience in technical leadership, policy guidance, and management oversight of programs spanning air, sea, and ground platforms; conventional weapons; directed energy weapons; advanced payloads and materials; and nuclear weapons technologies. He has served as the Director for Weapons Systems in the Department of Defense Office of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering, and Deputy Director of the Defense Nuclear Agency. As the Deputy Director of the Defense Nuclear Agency (DNA), he helped lay the groundwork for its transformation into the current Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), a leader in innovative solutions to the country’s hardest problems in countering weapons of mass destruction. Following his retirement from government service and prior to joining ARA, Dr. Ullrich served as the Chief Technology Officer of the Schafer Corporation, and as Senior Vice President for Advanced Technology Programs at SAIC.
