Zimbra Unveils Integrated Team, Culture and Vision for People-Centered Collaboration at User Group Conference
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- Zimbra, formerly Telligent, today introduced its vision for people-centered collaboration by introducing its integrated executive management team, brand strategy and culture at its user group conference, The Big Social. The three-day conference took place in Dallas from Sept. 23 to 25 and was Zimbra’s first initiative as a combined company. Customers and partners from as far as Japan, India and Singapore came together to share best practices, ideas and insights designed for collaboration in the mobile, post-PC era.
In less than 60 days since Telligent announced the acquisition of Zimbra, the new company has successfully executed a combined user group conference and integrated its senior management team, engineering groups and worldwide offices into one cohesive organization. The company recently relocated its headquarters to Frisco, Texas, opened a new office in San Mateo, Calif. and plans to open additional offices in London, Tokyo and Pune, India. The company is also aggressively hiring and continuing to grow, with plans to increase its headcount by more than 25 percent by the end of the year.
“Because our vision, strategy and culture is so clearly aligned, Zimbra has accomplished more in the past two months than what it traditionally takes some companies years to do,” said Patrick Brandt, chief executive officer of Zimbra. “We are proud of the immense strides we have made as a collective company so far, and we look forward to delivering on our commitment to unified communication moving forward.”
The culture created over the years at Telligent is uniquely positioned to match the energy and the culture of Zimbra and its open source roots. Zimbra is the only company that can offer a comprehensive collaboration companion for any mobile and social organization, providing a unified approach that improves productivity, lowers costs and strengthens customer and employee engagement.
With more than 5,000 customers in 110 countries and 400 partners worldwide, Zimbra allows companies to communicate more effectively through social communities, analytics, search and messaging. Zimbra eliminates the need for disparate communication tools and breaks down cross-department collaboration barriers by offering an integrated suite of solutions for email, calendar sharing, chat and social networking.
Zimbra’s user group conference, The Big Social, is the company’s annual gathering of online community and collaboration professionals. Leading companies such as Comcast, Cox Communications, March of Dimes, Mary Kay, NTT Communications, Lafayette College, Texas Instruments and more were in attendance.
