Over 1000 home improvement contractors, and authorized dealers of Basement systems, Foundation Supportworks, total Basement Finishing, and/or Dr. Energy Saver attended the 18th annual team Basement Systems 2013 Convention held in Hartford CT, August 22-24. The event included 100 educational break-out sessions, 3 motivational speakers, and record breaking attendance in it 18th year. Together, the network of home services companies surpassed $900 million in annual sales, and continues to grow through hiring, training, product development and establishing best practices in customer service.the convention was held at the Hartford Convention Center, Hartford marriott, and Basement systems Inc., International Headquarters utilizing 4 separate facilities in a campus setting in seymour Ct. The motivational speakers were Aron Ralston, author of "Between a rock and a hard place" & subject of the film "127 Hours"; Andrew Davis, author of "Brandscaping"; and Lawrence Janesky, founder of the team Basement systems Network, and author of "the Highest Calling."
"This year’s theme was IGNITION! We want to ignite in our dealers a new energetic enthusiasm as they work each day in their local area helping homeowners solve their problems and improve their lives by fixing their homes," explains Larry Janesky.
On Thursday morning, the event commences in Hartford at the convention center with a general session with over 1000 in attendance. New marketing strategies are explained and new programs and products are presented to a diverse group of attendees from all over North America.
An afternoon of industry related breakout sessions allow for specific Q&A periods, and targeted conversations, appropriate to each session. the evening is the highlight of the annual event with an awards ceremony at the Bushnell theatre, and speeches by Larry Janesky and Aron Ralston. Friday and Saturday provide the attendees with 100 unique sessions covering all topics of business success, including marketing, sales, call center, production, service, office and accounting, all at the Basement Systems International Headquarters in Seymour.
"We provide specific classes for each department, and every employee, in every time slot on both days. The more employees a dealership brings, the faster their company grows the next year," explains Daniel Fitzgerald, Director of Marketing for the Team Basement Systems Dealer Network.
