Estate Jewelry Buyers Andrew and Peter Fabrikant Pledge Their Support to the Grimaldi & Yeung Team’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 26, 2013 -- Andrew and Peter Fabrikant (http://www.FabOn5th.com), Diamond and Estate Jewelry Experts in Manhattan pledged their support to the Grimaldi and Yeung Team for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s that took place at the Coney Island Boardwalk on September 22nd. “We were pleased to be able to help support a team that has shown such dedication to fighting this dreaded disease,” says Andrew Fabrikant, president of the company. “Too many lives have been destroyed by Alzheimer’s.”
Says Judith Grimaldi, partner in Grimaldi and Yeung, Elder Law and Estate Planning Attorneys
“Each year our firm is proud to walk hand in hand with Brooklyn caregivers and the families of Alzheimer patients who provide such vital care to our neighbors and friends who have Alzheimer and other forms of dementia. We honor their caring by supporting the Alzheimer’s Association’s search for a cure.”
Adding her voice to the importance of getting involved in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is Vicki Ellner, Founder and Chair of the Senior Umbrella Network of Brooklyn, a not for profit organization of professionals that advocate for seniors in the Brooklyn area. They also supported the Grimaldi and Yeung team. “SUN-B is dedicated to providing dementia and Alzheimer’s education,” she says. “We are keenly aware how devastating the disease can be to patients and their families. We urge everyone to give generously each year to the Alzheimer’s Walk even if you cannot attend the walk itself.”
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s support, care and research. The walk is held each year in more than 600 communities across the nation. Participating in these walks provides unique opportunities to get involved with the cause through advocacy initiatives and clinical trial enrollment in the hopes of eliminating the disease through the advancement of research. The goal of the Alzheimer’s Association in addition to funding research, is to provide and enhance care and support for all the affected and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
“Statistics show over 5 million people currently suffer from the disease,” says Fabrikant. “Now that government research money is slowly decreasing for Alzheimer’s patients, it is vital that corporations and individuals join together to raise funds to find a cure or at least, a better treatment.”
