Dragon Academy, New Match 3 Puzzle/Adventure Game, Live Simultaneously on Apple iOS, Android, Facebook
Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 26, 2013 -- Dragon Academy is a new match 3 puzzle/adventure game launched today and is live now on Apple iOS, Android and Facebook. This free character-based game puts the player in charge of as many as six powerful dragons and brings together the popular match 3 puzzle format of games like Candy Crush Saga and Bejeweled, but adds role-playing game (RPG) elements like leveling and spells. Dragon Academy is free and live now:

• Android, in the Google Play Store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamchaos.dragonacademy

Dragon Academy is the latest title from Austin-based Team Chaos, led by serial entrepreneur Andrew Busey, a veteran of the online gaming industry who recently served as VP and GM of Zynga Austin after it acquired Busey’s Challenge Games. Before that, Busey founded Pluck, now part of DemandMedia, and iChat. He also developed and contributed to several Multi-User Domain (MUDs) games, the predecessors to MMO games.
“We believe players will have a great time with Dragon Academy because we combine what players love most: a match-3 game with unique characters - dragons each with great personalities and unique abilities,” said Busey. “We’ve built in a lot of levels and variety, and most importantly, we are one of the first games to be completely cross platform from day one. This was hugely important to us, so anyone who connects with Facebook can play on any device at any time, from the very beginning.”
In Dragon Academy, the six main character dragons activate special powers when they are fed mystic runes as they make matches during a game. Their job is to save the dragon Hatchlings that have been egg-napped by the mischief-making Wobblins. Through hundreds of puzzles, the Hatchlings will grow, evolve and enhance their powers as they complete a variety of challenging levels to stop the Wobblin menace.
Dragon Academy can be played on Apple iOS devices, Android devices, or on Facebook. When players connect with Facebook, they can play across any device or Facebook with one, constantly synchronized account. Dragon Academy is playable by the whole family, who can compete and follow performance on leaderboards via Facebook or Game Center.
Dragon Academy provides many of levels and challenging gameplay with over 150 puzzles and 13 worlds to explore (with more coming in frequent free updates!). Players can unlock new challenges like goo, vines, potions, walls, and gates, as well as power-ups for extra help on tough puzzles.
Also key is building characters into a game that people want to get to know better. Dragon Academy features six main character dragons, each with its own special abilities, like fire, lightning, ice and sonic booms. You can level up your dragons for bigger, more powerful abilities.
Dragon Academy gives you Melty, the acid breathing Purple Dragon, free when you start playing. As players progress, they can earn Emma, the green, poison breathing dragon, and Shimmer, the golden sound manipulating dragon, also for free.
The remaining 3 dragons are available as in-app purchases. Those dragons include Frosty, who summons snowstorms; Thunderlina, the blue dragon that controls lightening; and Pokey, the red dragon who brings his fire-breathing power to the game.
