Silicon Mechanics Named to Inc. Magazine List of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies
(PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- Silicon Mechanics, Inc. announces that it has been named to Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 500|5000, the annual exclusive list of America’s fastest-growing private companies, for the second year in a row. Silicon Mechanics Ranks No. 3900 on the 2013 Inc. 5000 while also ranking No. 1 for Washington State based computer hardware companies on the list. The company will be presented with the award at the Inc. 500|5000 Conference & Awards Ceremony, which will be held October 10-12, 2013, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, near Washington, DC.
The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Fuhu tops this year’s list. Silicon Mechanics joins LivingSocial, Edible Arrangements, CDW, and Lifelock, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.
“I am extremely gratified by receiving this award for the second year in a row, which is a testimony to the hard work of our team and their success at collaborating closely with customers to create what I believe is a customer experience that is without peer in our industry,” said Eva Cherry, president and CEO of Silicon Mechanics. “Our continued strong growth stems directly from our collaboration with customers, superior warranty offerings, and above all, the participation of a dedicated team of sales and service engineers.”
In a stagnant economic environment, the median growth rate of 2013 Inc. 500|5000 companies is an impressive 142 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created over 520,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $241 billion. Silicon Mechanics’ revenue grew from 2009 revenues of $21.4 million to 2012 revenues of $36.8 million, a 71 percent increase.
Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at http://www.inc.com/5000.
"Not all the companies in the Inc. 500|5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do. They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy,” says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.
