Warren County CVB Announces Fall Festivals that Draw a Crowd with Apple Pies, Sauerkraut and Turkey Legs

Fall Festivals in Warren County offer full weekends of unique foods and entertainment, running through October.

Warren County Fall Festivals draw more than 400,000 people for weekends full of unique foods, products and entertainment.

“Warren County is home to a variety of spectacular fall festivals, set in our charming small towns,” said Phil Smith, President & CEO of Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Each festival has its own flavor, but all make for fun family weekends or grown-up getaways.”

Ohio Renaissance Festival, Aug 31-Oct. 20 in Harveysburg, Ohio
The Ohio Renaissance Festival was voted best festival in Warren County. Returning for 2013, the KamiKaze FireFlies will perform juggling, fire eating, tricks and more. Another returning favorite, the Knights of Valor, led by Shane Adams of the History Channel’s Full Metal Jousting, will compete in fully armored jousting matches. The festival also features the “Queen” along with 150 costumed characters, food, drink and “400 years of fun in a single day.”

Country Applefest, Sept. 28 in Lebanon, Ohio
The streets of downtown Lebanon will be filled with homemade crafts, food, and entertainment for the 31st Annual Country Applefest. The festival, which attracts as many as 40,000 people, will run 10 am to 7 pm and admission is free.

Ohio Sauerkraut Festival, Oct. 12-13 in Waynesville, Ohio
The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival was recently named one of the top five food festivals in the United States by Lonely Planet. Come see why more than 350,000 people travel to Waynesville each year, and have a bite of sauerkraut fudge, a traditional pork and sauerkraut dinner, and everything in between. The vendors go through more than seven tons of sauerkraut each year. Admission is free.
