Roger Jones Named President of ASM Heat Treating Society
Souderton, PA (PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- Roger A. Jones, Corporate President of Solar Atmospheres, has been named president of the ASM Heat Treating Society (HTS) for the 2013-2015 term. The Heat Treating Society is an affiliate of ASM International. The Materials Information Society provides high-quality materials information, education and training, networking opportunities, and professional development resources for materials users, producers, and manufacturers. Over the next 24 months Mr. Jones will continue to promote the heat treating industry, its image, and its technology.

It is certainly an honor to become President of the ASM Heat Treating Society, especially since I will have the opportunity to celebrate ASM International’s 100th Anniversary with them this year”.
In 1983, Roger helped found Solar Atmospheres, Inc. with his father, William R. Jones, FASM. He served as Vice President, and then moved on to Corporate President in 2001. Roger has been a member of the ASM Philadelphia Liberty Bell Chapter since 1983 and served as Chapter Chair (1993-1994). Roger has also served as the Chair of the ASM Heat Treating Society Immediate Needs Committee and the HTS Education Committee, served on the Nominating Committee for two separate terms and is a member of the HTS Technology & Planning Committee. He was elected to the HTS Board in 2005.
