“The October 23rd Conventus Webinar will provide the support needed to help prevent fines and we’re pleased to extend limited-time access to non-members.”
Woodbridge, NJ (PRWEB) September 27, 2013
Following up on its popular online HIPAA events earlier this year, Conventus invites New Jersey physicians and their staff to attend the October 23rd webinar “How to Prepare for a HIPAA or Meaningful Use Audit,” featuring Susan Lieberman, a Vice President of Conventus and Stevie Davidson, President of Health Informatics Consulting. The registration deadline for non-members is October 11th. Members may register up to the day prior to the event.
“The number of HIPAA and Meaningful Use audits and fines is climbing. 27 new breaches were reported last month and fines have reached as high as $1.7 million. Breach notification and audit requirements continue to evolve. That means NJ physicians and their practices are in danger of falling behind in their knowledge of how to avoid and prepare for them,” says Susan Lieberman. “The October 23rd Conventus Webinar will provide the support needed to help prevent fines and we’re pleased to extend limited-time access to non-members.”
Ms. Lieberman, who heads the Conventus team of Risk Management professionals will moderate the educational session. The featured speaker will be Stevie Davidson who is a seasoned leader in healthcare, quality improvement, and information technology. Ms. Davidson is a Governor-appointed member of the NJS Health Information Technology Commission and Co-Chairs its Privacy & Security Policy Sub-Committee. She is also an active member of the Ambulatory Meaningful Use Center of Excellence Work Group Committee of HIMSS National.
