The series of food and wine pairings debuts on October 25 with an Oyster Bay Progressive Wine Dinner for $75.00. A crescendo of five New Zealand wines and delectable seafood-inspired cuisine begins with hors d’oeuvres, progressing through three courses and divine dessert. New Zealand is internationally acclaimed for its beauty, and unspoiled landscape, which can be noted for producing many fine wines.
The following month, on November 22, the Beaujolais Nouveau Celebration embraces the harvest with the most popular “vin de primeur” French red wine, fermented for just a few weeks before bottling. Made from the Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region of France, this youthful and fruity wine makes up nearly half of the region’s total wine production. This engaging event near Palm Springs, CA is a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception for $30.00.
A few weeks later on December 13, a one-of-a-kind Franciscan “Blending” Reception and Dinner features custom blended wines from Napa Valley’s Franciscan Estate, known for their Bordeaux varietals, refreshing character and bold expression. Each of the handcrafted wines has distinct personality. Franciscan Estates wines have been featured in Wine Spectator Magazine and recognized with an editor’s choice award by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Concluding the series of food and wine pairings at our southern California resort on March 21, 2014, an unforgettable Tuscan Family-Style Italian Reception and Dinner takes place in Miramonte’s enchanting Olive Grove.
