"We know that TuneCore would provide flawless service and they have,” states Dr. Olajide Williams, a.k.a The Hip Hop Doc.

TuneCore, the premiere digital music distributor, has been selected to distribute the new album "Songs For a Healthier America." This boisterous new album is aimed at amplifying the benefits of healthier child nutritional and exercise choices by setting inventive lyrics to music.

The project is produced by Partnership for a Healthier America, an organization working with the private sector and its honorary chair First Lady Michelle Obama to help end the childhood obesity epidemic, and Hip Hop Public Health, guided by founder Dr. Olajide Williams, and supported by noted surgeon, author, and television personality, Dr. Mehmet Oz of The Dr. Oz Show.

The much-anticipated album, "Songs For A Healthier America," will be offered to children across the U.S. at http://songsforahealthieramerica.org and on iTunes for free! The historic debut marks the first-time ever that iTunes will offer an entirely downloadable album available at no charge to consumers.

TuneCore was chosen to distribute "Songs For a Healthier America" because artists ranging from independents to high-profile performers trust TuneCore to provide best-in-class music distribution and support.

“Selecting the right music distributor partner is critical to the success of our project. We know that TuneCore would provide flawless service and they have,” states Dr. Olajide Williams, a.k.a The Hip Hop Doc. Dr. Williams continues, “We’re excited to have TuneCore as our partner for 'Songs For A Healthier America.' Their enthusiasm for furthering our mission and their capacity to reach out to their large artist community with our message inspired by this great album about childhood health and wellness, speaks volumes about their dedication to the power of music.”

"Songs For A Healthier America" features 19 songs and over 20 artists, many who already use TuneCore to distribute their music. “The music community is a very giving community. TuneCore is honored to be part of this special project supporting the Partnership for a Healthier America and Hip Hop Public Health mission to speak out to children about adopting healthy habits in such a creative way,” says Chris Mooney, TuneCore Sr. Director of Artist Promotions.
