Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- Team Networking, the premiere business-to-business networking organization, announces that its 3rd annual TeamQuest Urban Race for Hope will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM starting at Katy Trail Ice House, 3136B Routh St, Dallas, TX 75201. Proceeds from the noted community service event benefit the Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers that expands treatment options for all cancer patients through investigational vaccine, gene, and cellular therapies.
TeamQuest, a 5-7K race, is a strategic test of endurance and requires “brain and brawn” to win. Each team consists of two members. The following is the schedule of events:
September 28, 2013
8 am – 9 am: Registration/Check-in Katy Trail Ice House, 3136B Routh Street, Dallas, TX 75201 near uptown.
9 am: Envelopes with clues will be passed out, and racing will commence (Each team receives a card with twelve clues to locations within a 3-5 mile radius (approximately 10K total running distance)
1:00 pm: Awards Ceremony (Teams must return to Katy Trail Ice House whether they have completed all of the checkpoints or not)
Each team may travel by foot, train or bus, however, no taxis, in order to find the necessary clues. Smartphones or tablets may be used to research clues and guess answers. If a team misses or fails to complete an objective, a 30-minute time stamp will be added to the overall time. A ground crew is permitted to help guide a team regarding certain clues, or help find necessary locations. The winning team will be rewarded with gift cards, cash and/or different prizes yet to be announced.
Team Networking’s core philosophy focuses on giving first, often, and back. Community is one of the organization’s five guiding principles that also include passion, integrity, link and results.
“TeamQuest is the result of our organization’s desire to ‘give back’ directly to the community,” said Peggy Edge, president, Team Networking. “Therefore, three years ago with the help of our members, we created the idea of this urban race solely to raise money for the Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers.”
Rebecca Wright, president-elect, Team Networking, concurs.
“We are proud to support an organization that makes such an impactful difference in the lives of people who need hope,” she said. “The Mary Crowley centers work to improve the quality of life for those who have exhausted their options with their health challenges.”
Sponsors to-date for this year’s TeamQuest are Comerica Bank, Chicago Title, Preferred Guardian Insurance, Texas Security Bank, HPD Architecture, Prescott Pailet Benefits, Online Performance Marketing, Cogris, and CASE, among others.
