EcoFoil.com, a leading supplier of reflective insulation, is expanding its blog categories to share a wider range of content with its customers.

The EcoFoil blog was initially developed to show customers the benefits of eco-friendly building. However, a recent sales and service initiative to expand the blog has resulted in several new categories, including answering some of the more common questions that the company’s sales staff receives from customers.

“The blog has been evolving quickly for us, as we’re realizing what a great tool it can be to communicate with our current customers, and also reach potential new customers,” said EcoFoil product and sales specialist, David Arnold.

“We’re unlike most e-commerce companies in that we also have a sales team that can be contacted by phone if a customer has a question or doesn’t want to order online. It made sense to start compiling that customer feedback and questions we receive via the phone, and share it with all customers via the blog.”

EcoFoil insulating products differ from traditional energy-efficient products because the reflective characteristics stop up to 97% of radiant heat transfer. Other methods like cellulose and fiberglass only work to slow down the transfer. These differences highlight some of the top questions the sales team hears from phone customers.

Putting the question and answer information into a blog post format also makes it easy to share it on the company’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, says Arnold.

“Social sharing is becoming more and more important in our marketing plans, so having this library of content to share with our Facebook fans and Twitter followers is just another great way we can connect and communicate with our customers.”
