US Cargo Control Expands Inside Sales Team, Increases Service Hours to Better Serve Customers

Sales and service initiatives aim to create more opportunities to service customers with answers to product questions, industry expertise, etc.

The changes taking place now not only accommodate our recent growth, but will help us prepare as we plan for our future expansions.

Continued growth at a leading online retailer of cargo control products and moving supplies has resulted in an expansion of its expert sales team and customer service hours.

US Cargo Control, which specializes in products for the transportation, lifting, rigging, and moving industries, has recently added evening hours, with product experts available to take calls from customers until 8pm CST Monday through Thursday.

While the company was founded as an internet retailer, it’s unique in that it employs a trained sales team to offer customers the option to call and place an order, or ask questions about products before they purchase.

Coupling quality products and exceptional customer service has been the key to the growth of the business, and the company’s VP Sales and Service, Stacey Jones, says the expanded initiatives are designed to build on that core principle.

“Having product specialists available to answer product or industry questions is vital to offering exceptional customer service,” said Jones. “We know it’s not always easy for customers to call us during the day, so we felt it was imperative to offer a wider window of time if they need to contact us with questions.”

The expansion is part of an overall sales and service initiative that is encompassing several areas of the company in 2013.

In February the business began the sewing and assembly of its line of tie down straps to ensure quality and offer customers an expanded selection and custom options. Additionally, more than 30 new employees have recently been hired, across the manufacturing, sales and services teams. This includes an expanded national account management team to focus on two key categories- the moving industry and the trucking and transportation industry - to widen the reach to previously untapped markets.
