Russ Miller is presented by Mapex & Zildjian. As a Multi-Platinum recording artist, Miller’s versatility has led him to work with an incredible list of over 50 international artists, including Ray Charles, Steve Perry, Tina Turner, and more. The Modern Drummer Magazine Readers Poll has repeatedly voted Russ in the top 5 Studio Drummers in the world, including 2010, when he was voted the #2 Session drummer.
Russ has performed on more than 250 albums (including many #1 Billboard hits like Nelly Furtado's "Whoa Nelly" and Hilary Duff's "Metamorphisis"). Russ has also recorded for many T.V. shows and over 50 international movies (such as #1 box office titles like "Chicken Little", "Fracture", "Lakeview Terrace", "Resident Evil Apocalypse" and the "Boondock Saints" series of movies, just to name a few).
Gene Hoglan is presented by Pearl & Sabian. Hoglan is a well-known metal drummer, famous for his extremely fast and technical playing style.
In 1984, Hoglan began his music career as a lighting engineer for the seminal thrash metal band Slayer, and at the end of 1984 he was asked to join the thrash metal band Dark Angel as the drummer. He achieved greater notoriety during the mid-1990s playing with Death. Subsequently, he recorded one album with the thrash metal band Testament, and made the acquaintance of Canadian multi-instrumentalist Devin Townsend, forging a lasting friendship. He recorded several albums with Townsend, both as part of the speed/industrial/death metal band Strapping Young Lad and under Devin Townsend's name. He currently performs with Zimmers Hole, Meldrum, and provides the drums for Dethklok from the popular animated series Metalocalypse.
Ronald Bruner Jr. is presented by Tama & Zildjian. Bruner was exposed to the drums at a young age when he climbed up on his father Ronald’s drums, a well-known drummer who performed and recorded with some of the giants of Motown.
Ron started his professional career when he was 15, at the Theolonius Monk Institute, which opened the door for him to perform with many great artists such as Wayne Shorter, Dianne Reeves, and Ron Carter. At 18, he became a regular member of Kenny Garret's jazz band and in 2004, he was involved in the Young Jazz Giants CD with his brother, Stephen. His diversified style is evident by his membership in the punk rock band, Suicidal Tendencies, as well as being a sideman for the likes of George Duke, Stanley Clarke, and Marcus Miller.
Gavin Harrison, presented by Zildjian & Sonor. Gavin Harrison is an award-winning drummer, best known for his work with prog rockers Porcupine Tree, singer/extended range bass player 05Ric and King Crimson. He is also a popular clinician and author of several educational drum methods.
In 2007 Gavin began a long-term collaboration with 05Ric which led to the release of three CDs. In 2008, Gavin joined progressive rock band King Crimson as part of a dual-drummer lineup with Pat Mastelotto, and played a number of shows. Harrison will be one of three drummers in the newly announced lineup of King Crimson, according to guitarist Robert Fripp in the September 26 issue of British newspaper The Guardian. The band will reunite with saxophonist Mel Collins, with a tour beginning in September of 2014.
