Utility Technology Sales Executive Ann Broussard, B.E./MBA Joins Certrec’s Office of NERC Compliance
Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- Certrec, a leading licensing and regulatory compliance provider for NRC and NERC compliance, announced today that Ann Broussard, a 20-year utility industry technology sales executive, has joined Certrec as the Office of NERC Compliance Business Development Director.
Certrec’s Office of NERC Compliance provides a proven, end-to-end Internal Compliance Program solution suite for Registered Entities seeking to better manage the impact of the NERC regulatory process, communicate effectively with regulators, avoid fines, and ensure system reliability.
“We’re excited to have Ann Broussard join our growing Office of NERC Compliance team,” says Ted Enos, President of Certrec. “Ann enjoys deep trust within the electric industry – having been instrumental in the market adoption of many smart grid solutions with market leaders such as AEP, Entergy, First Energy, CenterPoint, PPL, Oncor, SRA, ERCOT and more than 40 cooperative and municipal electric, gas and water utilities.”
Previously, Ann served as Director of Strategic Business Development for Cooper Power Systems, a $1.5B division of Cooper Industries. While there, Ann was responsible for executive-level business development, business case selling, and strategic alliance, distributor, and vendor management – earning her the Top Performer of the Year award for 2010.
A Chemical Engineer, with a minor in Nuclear Engineering, and holder of an M.B.A in international Business and Marketing, Ann is a frequent industry speaker and technology advocate for state utility regulatory agencies including the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Louisiana Public Service Commission.
“The dynamic nature of the regulatory process has many Registered Entities wondering how to control their destiny in an environment where 343 non-cyber related and 301 cyber-related fines were imposed in 2012 alone,” says Ann.
“An Internal Compliance Program is often a prerequisite for exercising the Find It, Fix It, Track It Program – a program that allows credit for self-identification, reporting and corrective actions that can significantly reduce the instance of violations,” notes Broussard. “I’m excited to bring the power of Certrec’s NERC Internal Compliance solution suite to managers who may lack the expertise, time or resources to effectively manage the impact of this complex NERC regulatory process.
