Multi-Tech Systems Announces PCI Express Mini Card Communication Modules Designed for the European Market
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- Multi-Tech Systems, a leading M2M (machine-to-machine) communications solutions provider, announces the MultiConnect® PCIe embedded mini card communication modules, which utilize a PCI Express Mini Card form factor. These European-ready modules deliver penta-band HSPA+ 21 performance, and allow the option to add Voice, Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi® or GPS technology onboard the same PCIe card.
By handling high 3G packet-data rates, the MultiConnect PCIe communication modules support highly data-intensive applications. The standard and optional features enable developers to add a variety of M2M communications technologies to products with a minimum of development time and expense. With multiple options permitting application flexibility, the MultiConnect PCIe enables end users to invest once in engineering time with the assurance that most application connectivity requirements are covered in both the immediate term and for the future.
In addition, the MultiConnect PCIe also features an on-board power supply regulator for optimal radio performance, an on-board SIM card holder, and up to three UFL antenna connectors helping to simplify hardware design. A Developer’s Kit is also available which allows developers to plug in the communication module and use it for testing, programming and evaluation.
“What really makes this device stand out is the host of options in one highly integrated M2M package,” said Gregg Zastrow, Senior Product Manager, Multi-Tech Systems. “Perfect for remote video surveillance, asset tracking or a whole host of M2M applications, the MultiConnect PCIe provides build options to meet diverse deployment requirements.”
Developed with industrial applications in mind, this high quality, reliable solution simplifies M2M application development and well as provides a long and stable product life cycle for any solution.
A developer kit is also available which allows you to plug in the communications device and use it for testing, programming and evaluation. These models are primarily designed for the European market. A separate Bluetooth/Wi-Fi model is also available for U.S. and Canadian markets.
