As part of the October celebration, Mensa Testing Day will happen on Oct.19. Local Mensa chapters across the United States will host test sessions and other activities on this date.
Taking this test is the first step in becoming a Mensa member and it only costs $40.

Good to know:
• The odds of getting hit by lightning (1 in 280,000) or winning the lottery (1 in 175 million) are higher than you not qualifying for Mensa. One in 50 people qualify for admission into Mensa.
• You have to be 14 years or older to take the Official Mensa Admissions Test, but anyone who has test scores from any of the 200 accepted intelligence tests may apply. Mensa members’ ages range two to 104.
• The largest growing segment of new members in American Mensa is under the age of 18.
• Anecdotally, Mensa members appear to favor Android over iPhone. Members have yet to comment on Blackberry favorability.
