Keystone Human Services Launches Inclusive Employment Blog
Harrisburg, PA (PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, a national campaign to celebrate the valuable contributions of people with disabilities in the workplace. The campaign is also focused on raising awareness about the issues that men and women with a disability face in the employment arena.
Keystone Human Services believes that every person, regardless of ability, can be a contributing member of society, and employment is an important part of that contribution. To that end, Keystone launched a blog dedicated to inclusive employment. The goal of the blog is to raise awareness about the issues surrounding inclusive employment and to increase opportunities for people with disabilities to work side by side with the rest of the community.
The Inclusive Employment blog covers a variety of topics centered on the issues people with disabilities face when seeking and maintaining a job in the community, as well as the valuable contributions they make in the workplace. Recent posts include a discussion about the myths and realities about employing people with disabilities, a personal story about finding employment and a voice in leadership, and a success story about direct support professionals who continued to try to find new ways to support an individual to find a job.
