The Visual Communication Industry Group, (VCI-Group) will host a Video Cloud Service Panel Discussion at the upcoming IIT RTC Conference and Expo. The 6th annual IIT RTC Conference will be held on October 15-17th and is located at IIT Hermann Hall, 3241 South Federal, Chicago, IL 60616.
The Video Cloud Services panel in the Cloud Communications track is will be 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 15. The expert panel includes Industry Analyst and Business Development Consultant and Recruiter, JD Vaughn of Sage Research; Robb Woods, Manager, Sales Engineering, Blue Jeans Network; Geoffrey Vande Weerdt, G2J Head of the Americas, and Analyst Derek Abrams, Principal, Abrams Company. Theo Economides VCI-Group Board Member and Principal at Greenline Emeritus Consulting will moderate the panel.
The panel will cover the rapid transformation of real-time collaboration technologies by cloud-based video services. The panel will also explore the impact and availability of cheap, massively available network bandwidth and computing power that has helped cloud solutions emerge that has enabled human communication as never before. The host, a Director of the Visual Communications Industries Group, plus four leaders from cloud video companies (brought in virtually via video conference) plan to engage in an interactive, fun, and edgy panel discussion to address questions like: • Has "big iron" video bridges gone the route of the stegosaurus? • Doesn't anything "cloud-based" inherently bring greater security risks? • How can cloud video services be knitted seamlessly into a company that has a more traditional infrastructure? • What are the most substantial innovations that cloud-based video services bring to the table?
