Beauty Schools of America® Launches South Beach Barber Academy
(PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- Beauty Schools of America® (BSA), city officials, community representatives, BSA faculty and student body, and South Beach neighbors celebrate the official grand opening of BSA’s South Beach barber program location. The state-of-the-art building, featuring the work of local artists, will serve as the flagship barber program campus.
Matti Herrera Bower, Miami Beach’s first female mayor and its first Hispanic mayor, will be in attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Góngora will also be in attendance among a group of over 100 invited guests. Following the ribbon cutting, there will be a tour of the new facility, including demonstrations, which all lead into the much anticipated South Beach event, the “Barber Olympics.”
“We are proud to be located in Miami and South Florida, and opening our flagship barber academy location in South Beach is truly on honor for us,” said Senior Marketing Coordinator, John P. Rebstock
The ribbon cutting event is scheduled to take place at the new Beauty Schools of America® Barbershop at 2:30 pm on October 1, 2013. The campus is located at 521 Michigan Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139. BSA student representatives will be on hand checking guests in and serving as barber school ambassadors.
Barber school classes are in progress and will transfer to the new location immediately. The 40-person classrooms and 10-station practical area provides South Beach its only barber school. South Beach finally has a cutting-edge facility to go with its cutting-edge style.
“This barber campus is a high-tech facility equipped with diamond plates, stainless steel amenities, and a South Beach inspired art deco color palette. The ceiling is even equipped with dropped air compressors,” said Jeanette Perez, Campus Director for Beauty Schools of America® South Beach. “We have created a modern, masculine barber shop, that anyone would be proud to attend.”
Beauty Schools of America® (BSA) now has two South Beach campuses. Their main building, featuring programs like cosmetology, massage therapy, skin care, makeup technicians, and many more is located at 1011 Michigan Avenue in Miami Beach, FL. The new barber location is BSA’s second South Beach location and exhibits their sincere investment and allegiance to South Beach and to Florida at large.
“This is a high-tech barbershop, this is a venture we are sincerely humbled by and proud of,” said BSA Chief Operating Officer Jeff Gonzales “Most importantly this represents our investment into our students’ learning process. This is another step in our dedication to providing the best possible education to our students.”
