Beauty Schools America® (BSA) Kicks Off the Fall Season
(PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- Beauty Schools America® (BSA) kicks off the fall season with a special industry event hosted by Sadie Marquez, Creative Director for Sojourn. The seminar was hosted in the ‘New Theory’ classroom at BSA’s brand new, state-of-art South Beach Barbershop.
Sadie Marquez began her career over 20 years ago as a Vidal Sassoon apprentice. She has since become their creative director and then transitioned into the role of educator. Her extensive industry experience and vast knowledge makes her an invaluable asset to the next generation of beauty industry experts.
Attendants included local employers and beauty industry professionals. There were also members of BSA’s student body from each of their 6 campuses and 13 salons. Sadie Marquez took the audience through theory, application and best practices during the event.
“Sadie is a thought leader in our industry and it was an honor to host her and give her a platform,” said BSA Regional Director of Field Operations Liz Gonzalez. “We pride ourselves on making sure our students enter the workforce better prepared than anyone else and events like this exhibit our commitment to that goal.”
The Coral Springs Schools, Inc. d/b/a Beauty Schools of America® (BSA) opened its first campus in Margate, Florida in 1989. The school has successfully expanded to a total of 5 locations throughout South Florida, making it one of the largest cosmetology schools in Florida. All campuses are situated in vastly diverse communities, basking in the rich variety of students and residents in the area. BSA is licensed by the Commission for Independent Education (CIE)/Florida Department of Education (DOE), accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE) and has been one of five schools across the country to meet the standards of the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), which provides certification in over 38 countries. BSA currently offers an array of beauty and spa related programs and our curriculum continues to grow as the industry evolves.
