Go Blue Ridge Travel Announces Opening of Mountain Bike Park in the Shenandoah Valley Blue Ridge Mountains at Bryce Resort
Basye, Virginia (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- The northern Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and West Virginia offer a great escape as well as adventure fun for everyone. Why fight the airlines, instead a road trip to the Shenandoah Valley. Outdoor adventurers can hike or zip-line thru the mountains, ride the rapids of the rivers, gather butterflies in the open fields of the valley and enjoy fine culinary summer fare featuring local vegetables, fruits, and open range meats and the wines of local vineyards. Now for the first time in Virginia, Bryce Resort has brought a brand new experience to the mountains. Partnering with Gravity Logic out of Whistler, British Columbia and Trek bicycles, Bryce Resort has built a summertime experience to get everyone outdoors and to get the adrenaline flowing.
The brand-new custom designed Bryce Mountain Bike Park(BMBB) consists of 6 lift-accessed trails with features unique to only Bryce Resort. Trails ranging from Beginner and Learning Terrain to Advanced Difficult terrain, some of which are over 2 miles in length, have been cut into the mountains. The new Quad Lift eliminates the need to pedal uphill, allowing maximum time for downhill thrills. The bike will be loaded and unloaded for the rider as one enjoys the ride back up and take in the scenery of the surrounding mountains and all the beauty that Bryce Resort has to offer. The new Bryce Mountain Bike Park will also include a new learning center, teaching beginners proper riding techniques and giving advanced riders a chance to upgrade one's style and performance. Also included, a new bike retail and rental area featuring Trek Bicycles and all the pads and gear that one will need for a day on the hill.
Doug Grayson, Marketing Director, answers some of the most frequently asked questions. “The BMBP is a progressive style bike park. This means that while there are advanced and jump trails in the park, there are still plenty of riding areas dedicated to those riding trails for the first time rider in your family. The BMBP is designed so that riders as young as an active 10 year old can take advantage of the features. Our Riding School offers lessons and our "Find Your Bearings" Package to get you up and pedaling through the park with ease.We are extremely excited to bring this new experience to the Shenandoah Valley and we can't wait to share our mountain in a different and sensational way to guests visiting the area for the first time and all of our cherished returning guests."
