H&HN Takes Home Another ‘Magazine of the Year’ Award
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- It’s a remarkable achievement for a magazine to win one magazine of the year award. Hospitals & Health Networks (H&HN) now has two such awards in its trophy case.
The flagship publication of Health Forum received Magazine of the Year honors at the American Society of Business Press Editors’ awards on July 26. Earlier this year, H&HN received Magazine of the Year honors from the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors.
In addition to “Magazine of the Year,” H&HN also received the following national awards from ASBPE:
• Gold for original research: H&HN, Most Wired by Matthew Weinstock and Suzanna Hoppszallern
• Silver for editorial excellence, feature series: H&HN, Clinical Management by Geri Aston
• Bronze for editorial excellence, feature series: H&HN, Health Care’s Costliest 1 Percent by Haydn Bush
• Bronze for editorial excellence, news section H&HN, InBox (September) by Matthew Weinstock
Also, Health Facilities Management received the national Gold award from ASBPE for editorial excellence in the organizational profile category for its feature “Well-Scripted Success.” The piece was written by HFM’s Executive Editor Bob Kehoe, with design by former Senior Designer Jennifer Linton.
“To receive one publication of the year award is a fantastic achievement. To win that recognition twice in one year is simply unheard of in the business-to-business publishing world,” says Mary Grayson, editorial director of executive publications. “All of the recognition the publications have received this year is a tribute to the staff’s hard work and dedication to improving health care delivery.”
These awards are the latest recognition of Health Forum publications’ dedication to excellence in health care thought leadership journalism. ASHPE also awarded both H&HN and HFM this year with numerous Gold and Silver awards in myriad categories.
Earlier this year, H&HN Senior Designer Chuck Lazar received the Chicago Headline Club’s Peter Lisagor award for graphic design for the magazine’s “Datadig” page.
“I congratulate the staff of Hospitals & Health Networks on their outstanding achievement,” says Amy Mosser, Health Forum’s chief development officer and chief operating officer. “Over the past two years, Health Forum’s publications have been recognized with dozens of awards reflecting their commitment to outstanding thought leadership journalism across all media platforms.”
