(PRWEB) October 02, 2013 -- Affutjob.com will hold a virtual career fair promoting careers in Africa. The online job fair will run from January 22 to January 23, 2014 on africajobsarecalling.com. This event will allow people to get recruited without leaving the comfort of their home; with more than 10,000 candidates already registered.
The fair will be the third edition of the African Jobs Are Calling event, but will be the first one to take place in a virtual arena. By requesting an invite to the event, prospective employees can chat with recruiters by text or even by video call. The event is completely free of charge, and will allow participants to apply for hundreds of jobs whilst sitting in front of their computer screen.
Teddy Ngou Milama, CEO of Affutjob, says, “It is important that we strive to improve the connection between recruiters and job seekers in order to streamline the labor market in Africa. The virtual career fair will help recruiters to reduce their hiring cost associated with travel, food or lodging. Furthermore, job seekers will have the opportunity to go through the recruitment process by being connected only to their computers."
Participants will come from a variety of backgrounds, with different skillsets, and will be exposed to a number of jobs and positions that they might not usually have access to.
