KnowledgeVision Names Allen K. Deary Chief Operating Officer
Lincoln, MA (PRWEB) August 16, 2013 -- Online presentation technology leader KnowledgeVision Systems has named Allen K. Deary as its Chief Operating Officer. In that capacity, he is responsible for all key operating areas of the company -- software and service development, sales, and client success.
Deary, 54, has a long and successful career in starting, leading, and advising early-stage technology companies. A leader in assembling and managing global software development teams, he has most recently been Senior Vice President of Outsourced Product Development for Hitachi Consulting, which he joined when his prior company, Sierra Atlantic was acquired in 2010.
KnowledgeVision founder and CEO Michael Kolowich hailed Deary’s arrival as a significant transition point in the company’s evolution. “Our client base is increasingly global and its needs are becoming more complex,” said Kolowich. “Allen’s deep experience in providing solutions and services to clients in the Americas, Europe, and Asia is critically important as our company continues to grow rapidly around the world.”
Deary became familiar with KnowledgeVision first as a major investor in the company. “The business presentation -- one of the most basic tools of business communication -- needs to be reinvented for an online, on-demand, video-enabled world,” said Deary. “The KnowledgeVision team has just the right vision for accomplishing that, and I’m looking forward to helping them realize that vision.”
“Allen has proven time and again that he knows how to create and grow valuable, high-performing companies,” said Kolowich. “His track record speaks for itself.”
Prior to Sierra Atlantic, Deary was CEO of CYA Technologies, a maker of backup and recovery software, and founded ArrAy Incorporated, Human Asset Technology, and Peritus Software Services. An accounting graduate of Northeastern University, Allen spent the early parts of his career at Honeywell Information Systems, Apollo Computer, and Bull Information Systems.
