Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) September 16, 2013
In the first week of the 2013 NFL season, the Chicago Bears rallied past the Cincinnati Bengals to take the victory 24-21. With the win, the Bears gave Marc Trestman his first win as an NFL head coach. Although the team was sluggish for most of the game, the Bears found their pace just in time to take the win over the Bengals. Cutler threw for just 242 yards, but had a touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall in the fourth Cutler for the win. Although sloppy and behind by 11 early in the fourth quarter, the Bears pulled themselves together and fought back hard. The team had made some major changes in the offseason, and although they are changes for the better, it may take some time to get used to them. Hopefully the Bears can figure it out and be comfortable for the remainder of the season, without having to come back from behind.
In the loss, Cincinnati’s Andy Dalton threw for 282 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Star wide receiver A.J. Green had 162 yards receiving and two touchdowns, including one for 45 yards. As for the team as a whole, it was a disappointing start for a team who is coming off back-to-back playoff appearances. In the 2012 season, the Bengals ended in second place in the AFC North, with the same record as the Super Bowl champions the Baltimore Ravens. The Bears and Bengals did not meet last year, and they will not meet again in the 2013 regular season.
