Dickinson Wright LLP is pleased to announce that Alan Litwack is joining the firm’s Toronto office as a Partner.

Mr. Litwack’s practice is focused on corporate/commercial matters with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, securities and capital markets. His corporate finance and securities practice includes Canadian and cross-border public and private offerings of debt, equity, convertible and hybrid securities, stock exchange listings and other matters for issuers. He also advises professional service firms on tax and structural issues and owners-entrepreneurs on succession planning.

His mergers & acquisitions practice includes Canadian and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and sales, as well as experience in takeover bids, both on the target and the acquirer sides. Mr. Litwack has experience in a wide range of industries including high-tech, telecommunications, retail, clean tech, environmental, manufacturing, real estate, business services and professional service firms.

Mr. Litwack is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada. He has been a lecturer in Securities Law and an instructor in Tax Law at the Bar Admission Course, Law Society of Upper Canada. He has chaired and spoken at numerous programs and has had many articles and papers published. Mr. Litwack received his B.A. from Yeshiva University and his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa.
