Attorney Kelly Frey to Speak on Author Panel at the ABA Business Law Section Annual Meeting
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) August 01, 2013 -- Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Kelly Frey will be speaking on an author panel at the ABA Business Law Section Annual Meeting on August 9, 2013 in San Francisco. The panel is in conjunction with the release of the book, Intellectual Property Deskbook for the Business Lawyer: A Transactions-Based Guide to Intellectual Property Law, Third Edition.
Mr. Frey co-authored two chapters in the book: “Security Interests in Intellectual Property” (Chapter 3) and “Open Source Software and Intellectual Property” (Chapter 11). The third edition of the book is geared towards general practitioners, business lawyers, and corporate counsel who need to quickly learn and understand the intellectual property issues that arise in various business contexts. The third edition is updated and expanded to include two new chapters; updates to existing chapters to reflect recent changes, including the significant changes brought by the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act; and contributions from 20 peer-reviewers.
Mr. Frey is a Member in Dickinson Wright’s Nashville office and concentrates his practice in representing the headquarters locations of Fortune 1000 companies. He focuses his practice in the areas of corporate, corporate compliance and governance, emerging business, business and information technology, and copyrights. He is the author of the legal practice guide, Frey on Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions, and has assisted a variety of clients in developing, protecting, buying, and selling information technology products, services, and new media/content.
Mr. Frey is a Fellow of the Nashville Bar Foundation and the World Technology Network. He serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Accounting Compliance Certificate Program at Lorman Education Services. Mr. Frey is recognized in Best Lawyers in America and Mid-South Super Lawyers as a leader in his field. He received his B.A. and his M.S. from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee.
