Moments, a photo book application built for simplicity and ease of use on mobile devices, announced today it is a winner of the recent Walgreens QuickPrints developer contest. The Walgreens QuickPrints API allows Moments users to print their photo books to Walgreens for same-day pickup at more than 4,000 Walgreens locations.
The Moments application lets users highlight life’s best moments by using the photos in their Facebook, Dropbox or iPad to create elegant photo books that are quick and simple to create. Users can add captions, choose different page layouts and save their work in progress. Once the photo book is complete, users can print to Walgreens for same day pickup at over 4,000 Walgreens locations.
“The Walgreens QuickPrints API is great for Moments, since we only had to focus on creating a great app: they take care of the brick-and-mortar part of photo book printing,” said Amit Sherman, CEO and Founder of Moments. “This is why we could focus on creating a simple application, built for mobile, for the creation of striking photo books that are real simple to make.”
“Offering the Walgreens QuickPrints API continues to be a great way for us to leverage our store presence and printing capabilities,” said Joe Rago, Sr. Product Manager at Walgreens. “The technology also allows developers to extend more innovative functionality to their end-users.”
