Midland-Frantz Construction Group Inc., one of Chicago’s oldest and most reliable commercial construction and tenant improvement services company, records yet another successful construction management project for non other than the nations largest real estate investment services firm, Marcus & Millichap.
According to Marcus & Millichap Chicago O’Hare office regional sales manager, Steve Rachman, Midland-Frantz was responsible for the original sales office build out half a decade ago at Triangle Plaza (located at 8750 West Bryn Mawr Ave), and as Chicago’s demand for real estate services increase, Midland-Frantz became the obvious choice commercial contractor for their fall 2013 office expansion project.
“Growing our team of investment specialists to keep pace with the demand for commercial real estate investment services makes strategic sense,” says Rachman.
The 14,000 square feet office build out included a reception area, large conference room, a kitchen, multiple management offices, and a large enough sales floor to accommodate the new agents Marcus & Millichap are actively recruiting. Constrained by an uncommonly fast-pace project schedule, Midland-Frantz offered their construction management services at no charge and committed to the 12-week deadline.
“This was a unique project for us, because we had an opportunity to show-off our construction management expertise,” says president of Midland-Frantz, Larry Ressler. “With zero face to face time, we organized regular conference meetings between Calabasas in California, Dallas, and Chicago, while managing the construction site and directly coordinating with Marcus & Millichap’s preferred nationwide vendors.”
Project features designed by Dallas architecture firm Staffelbach include above standard, full-height glass partitions in the reception area, conference room and all fourteen management offices allowing for increased communication and interaction between sales and management.
“In addition to new retrofitted light fixtures, new doors, new hardware, new walls and ceiling,” adds Peter Petropoulos, Director of Construction at Midland-Frantz, “we managed and installed all the telecommunications, data and security access systems for the office - completing the entire tenant improvement project within budget and ahead of schedule.”
Reacting to the needs of a new era in commercial real estate construction and tenant improvement – Midland-Frantz was formed in Chicago in 1995, and has a zero complaint track record with over twenty million square feet of built out commercial real estate experience in their tool belt.
