Young Leaders at Belvoir Federal to Serve on VACUL’s YPC and YPN
Woodbridge, VA (PRWEB) August 19, 2013 -- The Virginia Credit Union League (VACUL) asked two of Belvoir Federal’s young leaders, Courtney Brown and Amy McConnell, to serve on the Young Professional’s Network (YPN). The VACUL Board of Directors then appointed Amy McConnell to serve on VACUL’s Young Professional’s Committee (YPC) for a one year term.
The YPC consists of 5 VACUL Board appointed credit union young professionals who direct YP development and networking opportunities for Virginia’s credit union staff and volunteers under the age of 35. The Committee’s mission is to attract, develop, and retain young talent within Virginia’s credit union system by connecting, empowering, and engaging young professions.
“I’m excited to have such talent joining this important Committee that is helping credit unions in Virginia establish an educational and networking platform to reach out and engage our young professionals and bring value to future leaders. Amy is one of five members appointed by the VACUL Board and she will be a true asset in developing a course for year one initiatives. We are looking forward to have Courtney bring her expertise to the Network to branch out and assist other young leaders,” stated Nicole Widell, VACUL’s Vice President of Marketing.
Amy McConnell, Belvoir Federal’s Digital Marketing and Public Relations Manager, stated “I am honored to receive this opportunity and to be involved in the YPC. By being a part of this committee, I look forward to collaborating with other young professionals to make a positive and long lasting impact to the success of others and the credit union movement.” Courtney Brown, Belvoir Federal’s Contact Center and Training Manager, stated “I am pleased to be a part of the Young Professional’s Network and I hope to learn and share my experience with others.”
