Perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour journeyed to Jodhpur and was inspired by these ingredients during his trips to local markets. The heart of Vaara takes you to the gardens of Balsamand, the Maharaja’s summer palace, adorned with spectacular roses of Morocco and Bulgaria, the happy scent of freesia, creamy sweet Indian magnolia, the strong clean smell of peonies and a hint of powdery iris. Vaara settles into a delicious combination of honey, white musks and resins drapped over a woody base of tonka, cedarwood and sandalwood. This is a beautiful perfume for those who want to ease into the richness of an oriental fragrance without getting completely overwhelmed.

Etiket launched its first store in December of 2011 as a luxury retail concept located in downtown Montreal.
