Hiring Ex-Offenders Makes Business Sense
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 10, 2013 -- Opulence Enterprises, LLC supports Breaking The Cycle, Inc. (BTC) by creating an alliance to help raise awarness about the direct benefits to companies for hiring ex offenders and the residual impact the approach can have on the overall economic status of returning citizens. The mission of BTC is to help Veterans and Returning Citizens become productive members of society. The purpose of these events is to help employers develop productive hiring practices with regard to the Veteran and Returning Citizen communities; diminish employer anxiety with regard to potential liability by assisting with effective screening methods to improve decision making and retention; and provide access to information on the benefits of hiring returning citizens.
The Opulence and BTC partnership provides the opportunity to make the greatest difference possible for families and the local economy. Mike Jones, Founder of BTC, Inc., has worked for many years to create cross sectional partnerships with community and business leaders in Cleveland. He's now bringing those efforts to the greater Atlanta metro area. BTC has partnered with Opulence Enterprises, LLC, who will provide career coaching, training and development, and political savvy training to the BTC constituents. Opulence will also provide subject matter experts to conduct information sessions on ways to avoid negligent hiring claims, development of HR policies and procedures to avoid or minimize disparate impact claims from applicants, and other regulatory compliance functions to help improve the hiring process.
Since 2008, Breaking The Cycle has greatly impacted Cleveland communities by providing the following programs to Veterans and Returning Citizens:
Weekly Job Readiness Class (since 2008)
Weekly Computer Skills Training & LinkedIn Networking Class (since 2008)

We are honored to partner with an organzation with such a great mission", says, LeTonya Moore, CEO/Chief Counsel, Opulence Enterprises, LLC. "As part of the Coffee and Donuts event, there will be some candid discussions with our supporting HR professionals to expose the realities of hiring veterans and returning citizens.
