Radbourne Skatepark will open in Orlando in Festival Bay on the former site of the popular Vans skateboarding arena that closed in January 2013. According to Radbourne Managing Partner John Van Clief, the new 80,000 sq. foot indoor/outdoor facility will expand on the traditional skatepark model to provide “skatertainment,” a full roster of youth lifestyle activities, dining options, shopping educational programs, events and concerts that it will host at its on-site restaurant, lounge, media room and cutting edge retail outlets. He sees the Athena Learning Center franchise as key to Radbourne Skatepark’s business model.
