Since the Buy Veteran movement launched in 2010, there has been a growth of more than 20 percent in the number of registered businesses on the site. According to the Small Business Administration (SBA), veteran-owned businesses have annual sales of $1.2 trillion, 5.7 million employees, and annual payroll of $210 billion. Also according to the SBA, 25 percent of returning troops wish to own or buy a business.
