The Michigan Trucking Association Re-Elects an MRPR Representative to Serve in Leadership Role
Southfield, MI (PRWEB) September 16, 2013 -- Wyatt Sweeney, Manager of Business Development at MRPR Group CPAs and Advisors (MRPR) has been re-elected for another term on the Michigan Trucking Association (MTA) Board of Governors. The MTA held their conference and annual meeting at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, which is where Mr. Sweeney was appointed to serve another year on the board. MRPR has served businesses in the Transportation industry for decades and has distinguished itself as a trusted advisor amongst the MTA and other transportation organizations by sharing knowledge and understanding of the industry and its operations.
This will be Sweeney’s second term as a member of the Board. Since joining MRPR in 2008, he has worked extensively with Greg Zink, Principal at MRPR and leader of the Transportation Service Team, on continually enhancing MRPR’s presence within the transportation community. Wyatt has been active with the MTA for five years and also sits on the Scholarship Fund Committee of the Transportation Club of Detroit.
"I'm honored to be re-elected to the Board of Governors," says Sweeney. "I enjoy the interaction and exchange of industry knowledge with MTA members which serving on the board promotes. The MTA is truly committed to being a leader in educating members and the public about trucking and transportation issues here in Michigan."
"In my opinion, Wyatt has proven to be an outstanding choice,” says Vincent Held Sr., MTA past President and current 1st Vice President. “I am always trying to identify individuals who in my estimation would make an ideal candidate for the MTA Board of Governors. Because of his integrity, ambition and professionalism, I recommended to the MTA Executive Board that Mr. Sweeney be appointed.”
“The MTA is a great organization,” says Zink. “They work for their members by providing valuable resources and promoting their best interest. As an accounting, tax and consulting firm, and with our extensive experience in the transportation arena, MRPR is able to bring suggestions and opportunities to the table from a different perspective." In Mr. Held's opinion, after using the services of MRPR for his own company, "he now know[s] that Wyatt and MRPR both know what they are talking about."
