Trammell Ventures, a business incubator and think tank specializing in information security, announced today the purchase of the remaining interest of ExploitHub from NSS Labs, Inc. ExploitHub was previously a joint venture between Trammell Ventures and NSS Labs. ExploitHub is the first legitimate marketplace for validated, non-zero-day exploits and tools primarily used in security testing.
The acquisition by Trammell Ventures will support ExploitHub’s continued innovation and expansion led by Trammell Ventures CEO Dustin D. Trammell. Prior to the acquisition, Mr. Trammell was responsible for curating market suppliers (“Authors”) and served as ExploitHub’s Director of Technology from inception.
ExploitHub is a community-driven marketplace that connects penetration testers and security vendors with expert security researchers and developers to help corporations and other professional entities protect critical systems and data against criminals and network attacks.

Prior to founding Trammell Ventures, Mr. Trammell was a Security Research Scientist for BreakingPoint Systems, a Security Researcher for Citadel Security Software (acquired by McAfee), performed VoIP security research for TippingPoint, and founded the VIPER vulnerability research lab at Sipera Systems (acquired by Avaya). Before moving into the security research space, Mr. Trammell performed professional services such as security assessment and penetration testing as well as security network architecture for various other firms.
