River Runners Announces Late-Summer Rafting Deal on Colorado’s Arkansas River
Buena Vista, Colo. (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- River Runners, a whitewater rafting company with two locations on the Arkansas River in Colorado, announces a 15 percent discount good for full-day raft trips booked by August 8, 2014.
The deal allows you to raft any date now through Labor Day as long as you book by the deadline, according to Travis Hochard, general manager, River Runners.
“This is a great value for some of the most popular whitewater rafting trips in the country,” Hochard said. “Raft the Royal Gorge, the Bighorn Sheep Canyon, the Browns Canyon, or the Numbers sections of the Arkansas River.”
Flows on the Arkansas River have dropped to lower-intermediate levels after an above average run-off early in the season, but are still higher than average for this time of year, according to Jon Treleani, head boatman, River Runners.
“Now is a great time for younger families and first-time rafters to get on the river,” Treleani explained. “But the advanced sections are still providing thrills for the adrenaline junkies out there.”
Above average flows on Colorado’s Arkansas River have prompted managers of the long-time rafting company to stay open a week later than normal, according to Treleani.
“A combination of higher than normal flows and an early Labor Day weekend prompted us to stay open a week later than normal,” Treleani said.
