Dahn Yoga Foundation Hosts Arizona Yoga Event for the Whole Family
Mesa, Arizona (PRWEB) April 09, 2014 -- For Dahn Yoga Foundation, yoga is not an individual affair. This non-profit organization supports an extensive network of volunteers who offer yoga classes and more to people in senior centers, community centers, churches, parks, schools and jails. But the service does not stop there. On April 12, 2014 the foundation is hosting a family-friendly yoga event at ASU’s Sun Devil Fitness Complex in Tempe that will also serve as a fundraiser for seriously ill children.
At the Family Yoga Fest, the public is welcome to try basic yoga, mind-body wellness exercises for children and mini-classes with a challenge. Participants can enjoy the health benefits of yoga while having fun with family and friends.
This Dahn Yoga Foundation event is supporting the efforts of Camp Soaring Eagle, an Arizona charity that has created camping programs for children, despite the seriousness of their illnesses, helping them discover the healing power of laughter and sheer joy of play. Learn more about Camp Soaring Eagle at http://www.campsoaringeagle.org.
Just by attending the event, people will be supporting the Foundation’s mission of making yoga accessible to all people, regardless of age, economic status or physical ability. Donations for the event will also help provide seriously ill children the opportunity to play at camp.
Dahn Yoga Foundation hopes that this event will help educate the public about the community service potential of yoga. One yoga class can create a positive ripple effect of service—people who are feeling better about themselves can do more good for their community.

About Dahn Yoga Foundation:
For more than 15 years, community-based Dahn Yoga classes have been made available free of charge or at substantially reduced rates in the US. Since 2006, these outreach classes have been organized under the Dahn Yoga Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charity, and are offered at various locations around the country, including public parks, senior centers, schools and community centers. In addition to yoga and meditation classes, Dahn Yoga Foundation supports community service projects. Whether cleaning up parks and beaches or planting trees, Dahn Yoga practitioners are breathing new life into Dahn Yoga ideals by putting them into practice.
