He shares his perspective on one of Dahn Yoga’s core practice elements, “Intestine Exercises,” as taught by Dahn Yoga founder and bestselling author Ilchi Lee.
In the May 2014 article, “Core Practice: Intestine Exercise is a simple tool for self-care,” Chungsuk Lee Lee explains how to do the easy exercises and explains the many health benefits that practicing the exercise can offer. He states, “Intestine Exercises have many benefits. A lot of blood gathers in the abdominal area. With intestine exercises, you can circulate the blood effectively, as if you had a second heart. In this way, you can effectively send nutrition and oxygen to every part of your body, and quickly remove waste from your body.”
With tips on how to best do the exercises, Lee also touches briefly on how the chakras can be affected and benefit from the practice. He states, “As you build strength in your abdomen, you will deepen your breathing and open your 1st, 2nd and 3rd chakras. This will build stability and confidence.”
