Whirly-Girl Michelle Hovey Awarded the Robinson Helicopter Maintenance Course Scholarship at HELI-EXPO
Ione, CA (PRWEB) February 26, 2014 -- Michelle Hovey was awarded the Robinson Helicopter Maintenance Course Scholarship at the Whirly-Girls Banquet at the 2014 HELI-EXPO which was held in Anaheim, CA.
This year’s Robinson Helicopter Maintenance Course Scholarship recipient grew up in aviation and always wanted to fly. Even as an adult, she often found herself running outside to see the magnificent aircraft flying above.
Michelle applied for this scholarship because safety is a top priority to her future and career. Utilizing this scholarship opportunity will teach her the skills that will improve her ability to fly safely.
Currently Hovey attends Mechanics classes at Sacramento City College, and is also working on obtaining her commercial rotorcraft rating. She looks forward to getting these licenses finished and beginning her aviation career.
