Herald Publishing Company Selects Vocus Marketing Suite to Launch New Business Unit and Support Multiple Brands
Beltsville, MD (PRWEB) May 21, 2014 -- Vocus, Inc. (NASDAQ: VOCS), a leading provider of cloud-based marketing and public relations software, today announced Herald Publishing Company, Inc. has selected the Vocus Marketing Suite for its marketing automation needs. Established in 1850, the Tecumseh, Mich. local publishing leader will use the platform in support of its four brands, including a new business unit, Herald Brand Marketing.
Known for its award-winning journalism, photography and design, the longtime publisher of The Tecumseh Herald and Homefront Magazine, and owner of Downtown Printing, recently launched Herald Brand Marketing to leverage the expertise of its creative, editorial and advertising teams to provide high-caliber marketing, Web design and print services for local businesses. In crafting a cohesive strategy to unify all four business divisions while bringing the latest to market, Herald Publishing Company selected Vocus Marketing Suite for its comprehensive suite of tools and high-quality support.
“Our traditional print company has evolved over the last century and a half, and is much more digitally focused today,” said Herald Publishing Company Advertising Manager Joseph Romero. “With that evolution and the onset of new brands, comes a more sophisticated marketing strategy that needs a powerful marketing automation tool to drive success.”
“With Vocus, we’re getting high-quality software, coupled with comprehensive support and training, to execute our email, social media, landing page, SEO and content monitoring marketing,” continued Romero.
Herald Publishing Company’s marketing team will use the Suite’s Integrated Email functionality to power its comprehensive email marketing, including segmented campaigns, Message Builder™, A/B testing, social sharing and email tracking with Google Analytics integration.
The Suite’s Landing Pages tool will also be used to drive, track and measure action on email, social and website initiatives, while Local Listings will be used to maintain accurate, updated information on the hundreds of local sites listing Herald Publishing Company’s businesses. The one-stop resource will manage these profiles in one dashboard.
Herald Publishing Company began working with Vocus in April 2014.
