Caped Crusaders to Close Out Cherry Blossom Festival on The National Mall
Beltsville, MD (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Vocus, Inc. (NASDAQ: VOCS), a leading provider of cloud-based marketing and public relations software, today announced that Demand Success 2014 is sponsoring an Mp3 Experiment that is free and open to the public on the National Mall between 6th and 7th Streets in Washington, D.C. on April 12, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. EST.
This family friendly event will take place during the final weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival shortly after the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade. The Experiment's 400 anticipated attendees will receive superhero capes displaying the phrase “Be Super” – Vocus' 2014 theme – as they join in a fun countdown to Demand Success 2014, the annual marketing and public relations conference taking place this June in Washington, D.C.
From Improv Everywhere, the New York City-based prank collective that causes popular scenes of chaos and joy in public places, the Mp3 Experiment is a participatory performance where attendees follow instructions via headphones and engage in simultaneous activities like dancing, giving high fives, and freeze tag.
Created in 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has successfully executed more than 100 of these events. Mp3 Experiments are now a staple in New York City, attracting over 2,000 participants in the most recent episode.
Demand Success 2014 is a two-day marketing and public relations conference taking place on June 5-6, 2014 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Emmy-nominated HBO series “Entourage” star Adrian Grenier, Avinash Kaushik, co-founder of Market Motive and Google digital marketing evangelist and Judy Smith, the founder and president of Smith & Company and inspiration behind the show “Scandal,” will serve all as keynote speakers. A pre-conference training for Vocus customers will be held on June 4, 2014. For more information on the conference or to register, visit: http://www.vocus.com/conference.
